I know I harp on this way too much, but guys it ain't 1987 anymore so please let "Dr. Feelgood" die. It lived an amazing life but it's time to let go! Yeah yeah, I realize it's possible that it somehow ties in with the finale of "Bones" - where Crue will perform the song on May 14th. Ehhh.

NewsBLITZ: THIS WEEK IN MÖTLEY CRÜE
Mötley Crüe continues to make headlines, with the following new items developing over the last week:
1. On March 16, the full lineup for Crüe Fest 2: The White Trash Circus was finally announced during a press conference at Fuse's New York City. Godsmack, Theory Of A Deadman, Drowning Pool and Charm City Devils will all be hitting the road with the Crüe this summer, starting July 19 in Camden, N.J. and ending Sept. 5 in Darien Lake, N.Y. "This is what we imagined when we came up with the idea of Crüe Fest last summer—putting together the most kick ass bands on one bill for a day of rock," says Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx. "All of the bands on this tour compliment the others—musically, theatrically and passionately." The Mötley men arrived at the press conference in an old-fashioned ambulance, accompanied by two scantily clad "nurses." Why the throwback to the Dr. Feelgood days? The band is using Crüe Fest 2 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their first No. 1 record by playing the entire album from beginning to end each night of the tour. Visit the official Crüe Fest 2 website for additional information and the latest tour dates.
Godsmack's Sully Erna, Drowning Pool's Ryan McCombs, Nurse #1, Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, MicK Mars, Nurse #2, Theory of a Deadman's Tyler Connolly and Charm City Devils' John Allen
2. The Crüe is offering a free MP3 download of their new single, “White Trash Circus.” Get the song here.
3. A DVD documenting the inaugural Crüe Fest hits stores March 24. Footage from the 2008 jaunt featuring Mötley Crüe, Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Trapt and Sixx A.M. make up the 2-disc set.

4. And, lastly, Carrie Underwood has recorded a version of the Crüe ballad "Home Sweet Home." The song will air each week as the farewell theme for the voted-off contestants leaving American Idol. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from the digital single will benefit The Humane Society of the United States. "I’ve always loved this song and, besides being very fitting for Idol, to me, the title is also very fitting with animal rescue and finding animals their own homes," says Underwood. Carrie has shown her love for Mötley Crüe in the past by performing "Kickstart My Heart" live onstage in Nashville with Vince Neil during one of his solo shows in 2008.

Doctor Feelgood?
I thought the Crue could have done a much better job of finding "sexy nurses."

Either way, please for the love of god someone tip off Motley Crue that Vince Neil needs to be replaced. Over a week ago in New Jersey he complained of being sick. CherylBLITZ will tell you about last night's show in NYC later...

BLITZ EXCLUSIVE: Motley Crue
With VINCE NIEL all plastic surgery'd out, NIKKI SIXX sober and TOMMY LEE thinking he's still 25, Motley Crue wants to attempt going back to their bad boy, rockstar ways. In an attempt to cause ruckus like its 1987 again, the Motley Crue (former) bad boys are planning a secret "Dr Feelgood"-esque fiasco for Monday afternoon. For their unnecessary press conference (announcing lineup for CrueFest 2 summer festival), the aging rockers will arrive in NYC riding a vintage ambulance filled with "half naked chicks dressed as sexy nurses." (A few other unmentionable words were used).

NewsBLITZ: NEW CRUE VIDEO + CRUE FEST 2 UPDATE!
Yes, we’ve been a little Mötley Crüe obsessed here at MusikBLITZ lately. In fact, JennBLITZ saw the band this past Friday night at The Borgota in Atlantic City; CherylBLITZ will be seeing the band on March 16 at NYC’s Madison Square Garden. Yet we are still getting excited about this summer’s Crüe Fest 2: The White Trash Circus.
Anyway…we’re still one week away from the full reveal of Crüe Fest 2’s official lineup. However, the Crüe has announced that they will be playing their 1989 album Dr. Feelgood in its entirety during every single tour stop in honor of the best-selling record’s 20 year anniversary. Dr. Feelgood was Mötley’s first No. 1 album on the Billboard charts and it went on to sell more than seven million copies worldwide, producing five Billboard Hot 100 hits. Later this spring, Eleven Seven Music/Mötley Records will re-release the beloved album.
"On this summer’s Crüe Fest we really want to give the fans something they’ve never seen before,” says bassist Nikki Sixx. “And since its the 20th anniversary of the release of Dr. Feelgood, we figured what better way to celebrate than to play it live top to bottom every night.” So get ready to hear songs like “Slice Of Your Pie,” “Rattlesnake Shake” and “She Goes Down” in addition to Crüe standards like “Kickstart My Heart” and “Same Ol’ Situation.”
What else? Oh, the Crüe has released a brand new video for the song “White Trash Circus” from their latest CD, 2008’s Saints Of Los Angeles.
See MusikBLITZ’s initial Crüe Fest 2 posting here or visit the tour’s official website here.
